We would like to raise your awareness to the importance of your account security again. To better guard your account against theft, please follow the list of DON’Ts and Dos below:
DON’Ts1. DO NOT disclose your password. We would like to stress again that you must not disclose your password to your in-game friends as we note that it is the chief reason for most of the reported thefts of in-game items and cash points.
2. DO NOT set a simple password. You must not compose a password with only numerals or letters. An effective password should be of a length of between 6 to 16 characters. (See below to learn how to set an effective password)
3. DO NOT log in with browser-automated login ID and password. Players who play HighStreet 5 in Internet Cafes are particularly warned against logging into the game with browser-automated login ID and password as the next user of the same PC can easily gain access to the automated login ID and password through browsing the history of websites visited.
4. DO NOT visit websites directed through web spam or log in the game with 3rd party plug-in software. Not logging into the game with 3rd party software can greatly reduce the chance of your account information being lost through the attack of malware such as Trojan horse.
DOs5. DO keep your windows security system up-to-date. A timely update of your windows security system can effectively improve the security of your game account. Some security problems in the windows operation system make the PC particularly vulnerable to infection by virus or Trojan horse.
6. DO update anti-virus software regularly. More frequent anti-virus scan of your PC can greatly improve the security of your account.
7. DO mind the scammers. Under NO circumstances will a GM ask for your password. If anyone approaches you for your password, he or she must be a scammer. Please report the case to GM immediately should it happen.

2. DO change your password regularly. It does not require a mathematics genius to break a password of 6-character length, and therefore it is highly recommended you change your password regularly. Before you change your password, please scan your PC for virus.
3. DO NOT disclose your password to anyone. Do not easily share account information with your friends, both in and outside the game. HighStreet 5 shall not be made responsible for any losses resulting from disclosure of account information by the players.
4. DO NOT use a single password for various accounts. The security of all your accounts will be greatly undermined if this password is disclosed.
5. DO NOT allow windows or IE to save your password. A password shielded with ‘*’s is handled with only standard encryption technology and saved in a separate file, which renders it vulnerable to unauthorized access.
6. DO NOT allow easy access to your password other than yourself. It is NOT advisable to write down your password on things easily accessible by others such as your desk-up calendar, wallet, PDA, etc.
7. DO NOT set a simple password. It is highly recommended you set your password with a length of at least 8 characters with a combination of letters in both the lower and upper cases, numerals and other symbols.
a. Identical login ID and password, for example setting the word ‘test’ for both the login ID and password
b. A password made up of less than 8 numerals
c. A password made up of a combination of less than 5 lower-case letters and numerals
d. A password made up of consecutive or identical numerals such as 123, 1234, 111, 1111, 0000, 123456, etc.
e. A password made up of your or your relatives’ birthday
f. A password made up of your name
g. A password made up of common words such as ‘software’, ‘hello’, ‘hongkong’, etc. You are strongly advised against using common English words for your password; however, using the plural form of the word by adding the final ‘s’ or using it with other symbols may reduce the chance of your password being too readily broken.
